Dan Kittredge Workshops on Nutrient Dense Crop Production

Dan Kittredge Workshops on Nutrient Dense Crop Production

On Sundays October 25, January 31, and February 28, April 25 Dan Kittredge will present a series of four workshops on the principles and practices of nutrient dense crop production.   Each will go from 9:00am – 4:00pm at The Lodge at Pony Farm, 19 Putnam Road, Temple, NH 03084.

You will learn how:
-to use various soil amendments to maximize this year’s harvest
-to obtain, interpret and implement the most useful soil tests
-to prepare for the coming growing season with appropriate minerals, cover crops & amendments
-to use a conductivity meter, refractometer and pH meter to know what is happening biologically and dynamically in your soil
-to mix and utilize nutrient drenches and foliar sprays to maintain the conductivity in your soil and to enhance the brix content of your crops.

This is a pilot course, designed to teach participants about biological soil management, in relation to the succession of seasons. This initial series will begin as existing crops are heading toward harvest, and will progress through the planning, preparation and planting for next year’s crops.

This series is designed for participants to attend all four successive sessions, but this may not be possible for all interested people. The cost of the series is $180 or $50 for individual workshops. Full payment is expected at registration, but other arrangements may be made as needed. Checks may be made out to The Lodge at Pony Farm and mailed to Douglas Williams at 28 Cunningham Pond Road, Peterborough, NH 03458.
